Once your order is placed, a formatter is assigned to your project and stays in direct contact with you through your account. You can message them at any time, ask questions, share additional instructions, or clarify anything about your manuscript.

Your formatter sets project milestones and updates the status of your order as the work progresses, so you always know what has been completed and what comes next. If something in your manuscript is unclear, we don’t guess; we ask.

Before delivery, every finished file is checked twice. Your files are also prepared specifically for the publishing platforms and formats you selected in the configurator, whether that means a print-ready PDF, EPUB, KPF, or a combination of files.

And delivery doesn’t end the conversation. If something needs adjusting, your order includes up to two rounds of corrections after the first delivery.

Everything is handled by real people. Your manuscript is not sent to AI, and AI is not used to format, review, or make decisions about your book.

Before you order

All you really need to start is the final version of your manuscript in DOCX format. You don’t have to know the perfect trim size, choose every font, or have the whole layout planned. If you’re unsure about something, we’ll help you decide, and if you don’t have a particular style in mind, your formatter can propose a layout that fits the book. We check the manuscript before we begin, so if anything is missing, you’ll be able to send it through your customer account. And if something changes or needs correcting later, just let us know; you can send updates at any stage without being charged for every small change.

How long does Book Formatting take?

Standard turnaround is up to 30 days. If you need the project sooner, you can choose Priority Production in the configurator, which shortens the turnaround to a maximum of 14 days. The actual delivery time may be shorter depending on the manuscript and current workload.

Is my manuscript formatted using AI?

No. Your manuscript is formatted by a real person, not by AI. Your formatter makes the layout decisions, prepares the files, checks the finished work, and contacts you directly if anything needs clarification.

What is included in Book & Ebook Formatting?

We format your manuscript for the publishing formats and platforms you select in the configurator. This includes a clean, consistent interior layout, chapter structure, headings, paragraph styling, page elements, and final files prepared for publication.

What files will I receive?

You receive the files selected during checkout. Print formatting is delivered as a publication-ready PDF. Ebook formatting is delivered as an EPUB, and if Kindle formatting is selected, you will also receive a KPF file prepared for Kindle publishing.

Are the files prepared for specific publishing platforms?

Yes. Your files are prepared for the publishing platforms and formats selected in your order. You receive files that are ready for the intended platform rather than a generic export that still needs to be adjusted before publishing.

How do you check the finished files?

Every completed file goes through two quality checks before delivery. We review the layout, consistency, formatting, and final export to catch issues before the files reach you.

Can I request changes after delivery?

Yes. If something needs to be corrected after the first delivery, your order includes up to two rounds of revisions related to the agreed formatting scope.

How will I communicate with my formatter?

After placing your order, you can communicate directly with the person assigned to your project through the chat in your customer account. If your formatter needs clarification or is unsure about a particular part of the manuscript, they will contact you there.
